New York City Police Stop Suicide Building Jumper in Greenwich Village

NEW YORK, NY – Police Officers from New York City’s Greenwich Village section talked a man out of jumping from a window in a building. 95th Precinct officers responded to the call and through a swift response in conjunction with the department’s emergency service unit and hostage negotiations team convinced the man not to jump and brought him to safety. The New York City Fire Department also assisted. The NYPD did not release any further details about the incident.
