Two Shot Overnight in Pittsburgh Drive-by Shooting

PITTSBURGH, PA – Two people were shot in an overnight shooting in the Hazelwood section of Pittsburgh, police reported today.

According to the Pittsburgh Police Department, officers and EMS responded to a Shotspotter alert and 9-1-1 calls for the 200 block of Johnston Avenue around 12:40 a.m.

“When Zone 4 officers arrived, they located two gunshot victims on the 100 block of Johnston Avenue,” police said. “Medics transported a victim to a local hospital in critical condition. The second victim was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.”

Witnesses told police the rounds were fired from a dark-colored sedan.
