11-Year-Old Boy Struck by Hit and Run Driver While Crossing Street With Mom In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – An 11-year-old boy is in grave condition today after being struck by a hit and run driver while crossing the street with his mother on Thursday.

Now, the Philadelphia Police Department is asking the public to help identify the vehicle responible.

According to police, at approximately 6:51 pm on Thursday, an 11-year-old boy was crossing Girard Avenue near Belmont Avenue with his mother when he was struck by the vehicle. The driver and vehicle left the scene and were last seen traveling towards Martin Luther King Drive.

The vehicle is described as a Blue in color 2022 Ford F-150 XLT PA TAG# ZTX-6169. The victim was transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he was listed in extremely critical condition.
