D.C. Murder Suspect Who Shot And Killed 16 Year-Old Caught On Surveillance

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Metro Police Department in Washington, D.C. is investigating a shooting that left a 16 year-old dead on July 5th. This incident took place on the 700 Block of Kenilworth Terrace in Northeast, D.C.. The Homicide Branch is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.

Detectives say, “At approximately 1:10 am, members of the Sixth District were flagged down by a citizen at the listed location, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located a juvenile male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life, the victim was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.”

 16-year-old Levoire Simmons of Northeast, D.C. was identified as the victim.
