$1 Million Scratch-Off Won in Sidney

Pruszcz Gdanski, Poland - March 8, 2019: Scratching a scratch-off Lotto lottery ticket.

SIDNEY, OH – Melvin Mathison of Sidney is the lucky winner of a $1,000,000 top prize of the Millions scratch-off. He chose the cash option of $500,000.

Mathison will receive $360,000 after mandatory state and federal tax totaling 28 percent.

His ticket was purchased at Par Mar, located at 1 McCarty Lane in Jackson.

According to lottery officials, “Millions is a $30 scratch-off with a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. As of July 6, 2022, there are 29 top prizes remaining in the game.”
