48 Year-Old Man Shot and Killed in Central Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore PD is investigating a shooting of a 48 year-old man that happened yesterday afternoon in Central Baltimore. This incident took place at the intersection of Light Street and Conway Street.

According to detectives, “At approximately 4:38 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Light Street and Conway Street to investigate a reported shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they located 48-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival. Baltimore Police Department Homicide detectives have assumed control over the investigation. Investigators learned that the shooting occurred after an altercation erupted. The suspect fled the intersection on foot.

Police also say “Investigators are currently combing through area surveillance footage and urge anyone that may have captured video cellphone footage of the incident or have information to contact detectives at 410-396-2100.”
