Carjacking in Newark Leads Police on Search for Vehicle

NEWARK, NJ – Another carjacking has taken place in Newark and now police are trying to find the vehicle as they continue their investigation.

Newark Police responded to the area of Westend Avenue, near South Orange Avenue, on a call of a carjacking.

On Saturday, multiple suspects pointed a gun at the driver and fled from the scene in the area of Westend Avenue and South Orange Avenue.

“The victim’s vehicle is described as a 4-door, black 2017 Acura ILX with damage to the driver’s side from front to back,” police said today. “Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly locating the carjacked vehicle as part of their investigation.”
