Hillside Police Make Arrest After Vehicle Pursuit from Elizabeth Ends

HILLSIDE, NJ – A police chase that started in Elizabeth ended in Hillside with an arrest of the fleeing suspect.

According to the Hillside Police Department, last Friday, at approximately 6:45 PM, Elizabeth Police officers pursued a wanted vehicle into the Township of Hillside.

“The driver of the vehicle stopped and fled on foot in front of 153 Baltimore Ave. in our jurisdiction. Hillside Police officers and several other law enforcement agencies assisted Elizabeth PD in the search for the driver and any other occupants,” police said.

The driver was ultimately apprehended and taken into custody by Elizabeth police officers. The suspect’s name was not released by police at this time.
