Woman Reported Missing in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD – The Montgomery County Department of Police has issued an alert for a missing woman in Silver Spring. Police said she was last seen on Saturday at around 6:30 am at the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Center in the 8400 block of Colesville Road.

Sandra Edwards, age 67, is 5 feet, 7-inches tall, and weighs approximately 200 pounds. She has grey/brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink floral dress, a black scarf, and blue flip flops.  

Police and family are concerned for her welfare, the department said in a statement today.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Sandra Edwards is asked to call the police non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000 (24-hour line) or the 3rd District Investigative Section at (240)773-6870. Callers may remain anonymous.
