16-Year-Old Shot in Severn Saturday Afternoon

SEVERN, MD – Police in Anne Arundel County are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old who was shot walking in the wooded area between Marlton Court and Pioneer Drive. The shooting took place Saturday afternoon and police have not yet identified a suspect.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting victim who walked into a local emergency room in Glen Burnie.

“Officers learned that the 16-year-old victim was walking in the wooded area between Marlton Court and Pioneer Drive in Severn when he was shot by an unknown subject. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.

AACPD officers canvased the area where the shooting was said to have occurred and were unsuccessful in locating a crime scene.
