AKRON, OH – Police in Akron are searching for two suspects wanted for the murder of a 55-year-old man killed in a parking lot after getting involved into an altercation with the two men.

According to police, just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Copley Road. When they got there, they found the victim, a 55-year-old man, in the parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound.

“The victim was transported to the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased,” police said. “The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending family notifications.”

Police said, “Based on preliminary information developed, investigators believe that the victim was involved in an altercation with at least two unknown suspects before the fatal shooting. After the dispute, one of the men inside the red or maroon suspect vehicle fired shots, fatally wounding the victim.”
