Zombies and Undead Continue to Create Traffic Problems at the Jersey Shore As Weekend Nears

HOLMDEL, NJ – If you’re thinking of taking Route 35 to the Jersey Shore today, be warned, your trip will be slowed down by hordes of zombies and undead.

No, for real.

According to the Holmdel Police Department, between the hours of 4 pm and 8 pm, there will be intermittent closures on Highway 35, in the area of the Holmdel Motor Inn.

That’s because the area will be used as the set for the filming of an episode of a spinoff of the hit AMC show, the Walking Dead.

Later in the night, between 8 pm and 5 am, Highway 35 will be completely closed, in both directions, from Union Ave to Miller Ave. Motorists will be able to access local businesses along the highway during the closure.

“Detours will be in place; please plan an alternate route of travel as heavy delays are expected. Thank you for your patience during this time,” police said.
