Two Arrested For Friday Shooting in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – A fight between two groups of males on Huges Street turned into a shots fired investigation for police and two people have been arrested.

On Friday, Wilkes-Barre Police responded to the area of 23 Hughes Street in reference to shots fired from a weapon.

“Officers arrived in the area and observed a vehicle leaving the area. The vehicle was eventually stopped and a suspect was taken into custody,” the Wilkes-Barre Police Department reported. “Upon further investigation it was determined that there was a dispute between two groups of males. The male suspects each produced a weapon and fired at each other. Officers arrived on scene and took two males into custody related to this incident. “

Officers recovered three stolen weapons from the two suspects during the course of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
