New Fairfield Police Searching for Driver that Ran Over Dog, Fled Scene

NEW FAIRFIELD, CT – Police in New Fairfield and the Connecticut State Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck a dog and fled the scene.

According to police, detectives are investigating a car versus dog motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 2 pm.

The incident occurred on Rt 39 at Rita Drive, police said. Police believe the involved vehicle may be a 2010-14 Subaru legacy wagon color Grey. The suspect vehicle may have front right damage and was last seen heading south on Rt 39.
