North Bergen DPW Workers Rescue Racoon Stuck in Sewer After Passing Storm

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – There was something in the sewers in North Bergen and it wasn’t a clown with a balloon. It was a raccoon who was apparently swept into the sewer system by the passing storms earlier.

“During the heavy rain yesterday, Officers B. Bowen & Antelo observed a trapped raccoon in a sewer by 76th & Bergenline Avenue,” police said.

North Bergen DPW responded on scene and with team work they were able to safely rescue the trapped raccoon.
