19-Year-Old Buffalo Woman Pleads Guilty to 2020 Shooting

BUFFALO, NY (PRESS RELEASE) – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that a 19-year-old female from Buffalo pleaded guilty this morning before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony) and one count of Assault in the Second Degree (Class “D” felony).

Shortly after midnight on February 16, 2020, the adolescent offender, who was 16-years-old at the time of the crime, fired multiple shots from an illegal gun into an occupied vehicle on Stratford Road in the City of Buffalo.

Two people were injured by gunfire. The victims were driven to Buffalo General Hospital in a private vehicle before being transported by ambulance to ECMC to be treated for their injuries.

The adolescent offender faces a maximum of 15 years in prison when she is sentenced on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. She continues to remain held without bail.
