Fugitive Wanted for June Murder in Harrisburg Captured in North Carolina

HARRISBURG, PA – A man wanted for a June murder in Harrisburg has been captured in North Carolina after a month-long search.

According to the Harrisburg Police, the department’s Criminal Investigation Division was advised there was a homicide suspect, from Greenville, North Carolina, who was being traced in the City of Harrisburg.

The homicide took place in the City of Greenville in June 2022.       

“A subsequent investigation took place and the suspect, Andrevious Spencer 18 years old, was located after he emerged from a residence in the 2000 Block of N 4th St. on 7-27-22 around 1PM. Spencer was taken into custody unharmed, following a brief foot chase,” police said. “Members of the FBI, PA State Parole, Dauphin County Adult and Juvenile Probation, and The Harrisburg Bureau of Police worked together to take Mr. Spencer into custody swiftly and safely.”
