One Killed in Shooting on Spring Garden Street in Reading

READING, PA – Police in Reading have reported the victim found shot Sunday morning on Spring Garden Street was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, Edwin Rivera-Valentin, was found dead at around 3 am in the 400 block of Spring Garden Street.

Less than an hour later, police responded to another murder in the city.

At around 3:50 am on Sunday, Reading police were dispatched to Church Street for the report of a man shot. Upon arrival, police discovered the male, Quadell Spradley, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

At this time, police could not confirm whether or not the two shootings were related.
