Newark Burglar Broke Into Restaurant and Stole Cash Register and $300

NEWARK, NJ – A man broke into a South American cuisine restaurant on Monday and stole the cash register, and fled the scene.

Newark police responded to Ecuacolombia Restaurant, 348 Bloomfield Avenue, on a call of a burglary.

“At approximately 10:45 p.m., a male suspect entered the restaurant through a side, alleyway entrance and stole the cash register, containing $300.00. The suspect fled, heading westbound on Bloomfield Avenue toward North 5th Street,” police said.

Detectives investigating this incident request the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation. He was captured on a surveillance camera before entering the business.
