Former Ocean City High School Teacher Sentenced for Assaulting Student on Last Day of School

OCEAN CITY, NJ – A former teacher at Ocean City High School is going to prison for five years for sexualy assaulting a student on the last day of school back in 2016.

According to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, on July 25, Ricardo Valle, a 35-year-old resident of Seabrook Texas, was sentenced in Cape May County Superior Court to five years in New Jersey State Prison for one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the second degree.

“Valle admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with a student while he was a teacher at the Ocean City High School prior to leaving the school in June of 2016,” court records detail.

As a part of his plea agreement, Valle forfeited his teaching certificate along with any future public service and upon his release from prison he will be subject to registration under Megan’s Law. Valle was also ordered to have no contact with the victim in this case.
