Worker Thwarts Armed Burglary at Glen Burnie Cash Depot

GLEN BURNIE, MD -On August 3, 2022, at approximately 4:33 p.m., officers responded to an attempted robbery of the Cash Depot located at 7424 E. Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie. An unknown male suspect entered the business and attempted to force his way through a secured door. The employee jumped up and engaged an additional lock.

The suspect displayed a black handgun and threatened to shoot the employee as he continued to kick the door. The employee called the police, and the suspect fled in a dark sedan. Officers located the suspect vehicle early in the morning hours of Thursday, August 4, 2022, in the area of the Motel 6 in Linthicum and arrested the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black male, 30 – 40 years old, large build, wearing a dark sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black hat.

His name was not released.
