Two Teenagers Charged With Gang Assault in Utica

UTICA, NY – Two teenagers have been arrested for gang assault and one more is on the run after police investigating a recent assault case in the city. Police credited Utica residents for helping them identify the suspects in the matter.

“We would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the three suspects in the assault case,” the department said. “Today, members of the Criminal Investigations Division and the Juvenile Aid Division charged a 17-year-old and a 14-year-old with Gang Assault in the first degree for their involvement in the incident.”

A third suspect, age 17, is still being sought and will be charged accordingly when located, the department added.

“Due to their ages, the identities will not be released,” police reported.

Earlier photos of the suspects have been removed from the department’s Facebook page.

“The victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital, and we are praying for a positive outcome,” the Utica Police Department said.
