NEW YORK, NY – A 70-year-old man was assaulted multiple times with a hammer after he tried to stop his attacker from stealing multiple containers of bleach from the laundromat shelf.

According to police, at around 4:55 AM, inside an East 98th Street laundromat in Brooklyn, the suspect hit a 70-year-old employee that attempted to stop him from stealing items.
