Woman Sexually Assaulted in Broad Daylight in Swissvale

SWISSVALE, PA – A woman in Swissvale was assaulted in broad daylight last Thursday according to detectives with the Allegheny County Police Department.

According to police, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a female complainant was followed by an unknown male along Monongahela Avenue from Church Street in Swissvale.

“The male made several attempts to speak with the female before sexually assaulting the female on the sidewalk near the intersection of Monongahela Avenue and Duquesne Avenue,” the agency said. “County Police were requested to assist the Swissvale PD and General Investigations Unit detectives initiated an investigation. Detectives obtained security footage of the suspect.”
