D.C. Murder Suspect Arrested in Jamaica

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department have made an arrest in the murder of 27 year-old Tarek Booth, of Alexandria Virginia. Booth was shot and killed on January 31st on the 3200 Block of M Street in Northwest, D.C.

According to detectives, “At approximately 6:13 pm, members of the Second District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where despite all life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.”

27 year-old Tarek Boothe, of Alexandria, Virginia was identified as the victim.

24-year-old Ranje Reynolds of Beltsville, Maryland was apprehended in Kingston, Jamaica yesterday. Reynolds is going to be extradited to Washington, D.C. and will be charged with First Degree Murder.
