Couple Found Shot, Dead Inside Car in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – Paterson Police are investigating after a couple was found shot dead inside a car in Paterson Friday morning.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, at approximately 11:40 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department and Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office responded to the area of Elizabeth Street on the report of two dead bodies inside a vehicle.

The shooting happened near Getty Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers reported they had found two deceased individuals, a man and a woman, inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.


This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
