Linden Police Department Mourns Loss of First Woman to Reach Rank of Lieutenant

LINDEN, NJ – The Linden Police Department said goodbye to one of their own this week, Lt. Nancy Petroski, who was the department’s first woman to reach that rank.

“It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Lt. Nancy Petroski. Nancy served the Linden Police Department for over 30 years, becoming the first woman to achieve the rank of Lieutenant. Nancy was a beautiful person, and her friendship will be missed by all,” the department said in a statement today.
