Driver Charged for Vehicular Manslaughter

Saratoga County District Attorney Karen A. Heggen announced that Adrianne D. Liedel, of Milton was arraigned on Friday in Saratoga County Court on a six count indictment including vehicular manslaughter.

According to the D.A. office, he Indictment alleges that on March 15, 2022, Defendant Liedel operated a motor vehicle while impaired by the use of cannabis and, in doing so, caused the death of a pedestrian and severely injured another. This incident is alleged to have taken place on Hop City Road in the Town of Ballston, New York, where both victims resided.

District Attorney Heggen noted, “The arrest of the defendant was the result of a lengthy investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. The return of an indictment by the Grand Jury in this case reflects the thorough and complete investigation done by our law enforcement partners at the Sheriff’s Office.”
