Two Men Impersonating NYPD Officers Rob $10,000 From Woman’s Home

NEW YORK, NY – Two men posing as New York City police officers broke into a woman’s home and stole $10,000 police reported today.

The incident took place late last month, but police released video surveillance and photos of the men wanted for the robbery. According to the video, the two men entered the Queens home with NYPD shirts and flashlights. One man was identifiable by a tattoo on his forearm.

Police said when the 27-year-old woman answered the door, they kicked open the door, handcuffed her and told her they were looking for her boyfriend. While she was handcuffed, they robbed her house before fleeing the scene.
