45-Year-Old Shot Multiple Times in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, MD – A 45-year-old man is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after being shot in Aberdeen Sunday night.

According to police, at 11:10 p.m., deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of Mayberry Drive, in Aberdeen, for the report of a shooting.

“Upon arrival, deputies located a male, identified as Delon Wiggleton, 45, of Havre de Grace, laying in the grass, near a parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately began rendering medical aid. Medics arrived on scene and transported Wiggleton to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of, what are believed to be, non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. “The investigation was assumed by Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Investigators from the Forensic Services Unit responded to the area to collect and preserve physical evidence in support of the investigation.”

Police in Harford County said the initial investigation indicates this was a targeted incident, and there is no threat to the community.

“Presently, no charges have been filed, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. No further information is being released at this time,” the department said.
