Newark Police Issue Alert for Missing 15-Year-Old Boy

NEWARK, NJ – Police in Newark have issued a missing person alert for a 15-year-old boy missing since last week in the city.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with locating Semaj Johnson, 15, of Newark, who was reported missing on August 15, 2022.

Johnson was last seen in the 20 block of Grumman Avenue wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, blue jeans and white Jordan sneakers. He is 5’5” and 120 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a medium brown complexion.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about Semaj’s whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
