Newark Police Issue Amber Alert for Missing 16-Year-Old

NEWARK, NJ – Police in Newark are asking the public for help in locating a missign 16-year-old girl who has not been seen since last week.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with locating Treonna Jones, 16, of Newark, who was reported missing on August 17, 2022.

Jones was last seen in the 100 block of Pine Grove Terrace wearing a black shirt and pink crocs. Jones, known to frequent Atlantic City, is 5’1” and 155 pounds with brown eyes, black hair a dark brown complexion.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about Treonna’s whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1877-695-8477).
