Newark Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Man Wanted for Questioning in Carjacking

NEWARK, NJ _ the North Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in a recent carjacking.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspect, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a carjacking incident on August 23, 2022.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:08 p.m. in the 100 block of Roseville Avenue when the victim was approached by two Black males. One of them was wearing all gray clothing and the other was wearing all black.

The suspect in gray pulled out a handgun and m demanded that the victim to give up his car keys before striking him in the head with the weapon. Both suspects took the victim’s personal belongings, including a wallet and iPhone, and drove away in his vehicle.
