One person struck in Sunday night shooting in Atlantic City

Atlantic City, NJ – the Atlantic City Police Department is investigating after one man was shot in the lower extremity Sunday night.

According to police, at 12:55 PM, patrol officers responded to the first block of South Morris Avenue for a report of a possible shot fired in the area.

“Responding officers arrived and subsequently located a victim in the area of the first block of South Montpelier Avenue,” police said. “Evidence of a gunshot was also located in the first block of South Morris Avenue. The victim, 43, of Atlantic City, received a superficial gunshot wound to a lower extremity. He was treated on scene by emergency medical personnel and then released.”
