Man fires gun at clerk in Columbus after being refused to sell single cigarette

Columbus, OH- police in Columbus are investigating after a clerk at the store was shot at multiple times by a man who became irate after being told he could not be sold a single cigarette.

On August 27, the victim, who was a clerk at a business located in the 1200 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, refused to sell the suspect a single cigarette. This provoked an argument between the suspect and the clerk. The suspect produced a firearm and began shooting at the clerk. The clerk narrowly avoided getting shot.
