Man Facing Drug Charge as Result of Disturbance Call in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, MD – A Cumberland man is now facing a drug charge after being stopped by police in relation to a prior disturbance report to 911.

On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at approximately 8:15 PM, a Cumberland police officer conducted an investigative traffic stop on Queen City Drive. The stop was in relation to a disturbance that had occurred on Grand Avenue. Police contacted the rear seat passenger, Douglas Combs, and questioned him in regards to the disturbance. After further investigation, Combs was found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to the police station. He was later released on criminal citations pending trial at District Court.
