NYPD Air Units Use Thermal Imaging to Capture Slasher Hiding in the Dark

NEW YORK, NY – Criminals in New York can no longer hide in the shadows. The NYPD announced their ‘eye in the sky’ helped to capture a man wanted for slashing this week.

“Early yesterday morning, NYPD Aviation used a thermal imaging camera to capture a wanted suspect. The suspect, who was wanted for a prior slashing, was attempting to hide in the darkness. The pilots spotted the man and notified nearby officers, who safely took him into custody,” police said.
