Trooper Rescues Dog Stranded on Highway

CHESHIRE, CT – Police have rescued a dog on I-984 after 911 callers contacted the state police.

The dog was stranded on a very busy Interstate 84 Eastbound between exits 26 and 27 in Cheshire this morning.

“Very quickly, Trooper Stella from Troop A arrived on scene, located the stray dog and rescued the pup from danger. The dog had no tags and was not injured. We are proud of the stellar job by Trooper Stella in her dogged attempt to rescue this canine,” police said.
