MAYS LANDING – Police in Atlantic City have arrested a man for a murder committed last weekend.
Lester Robinson of Atlantic City has been charged in connection with the shooting death of Malikah McLaughlin, 26, of Atlantic City.
Robinson was arrested on August 31, 2022, without incident and has been lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at approximately 1:09 a.m., the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a 911 call in reference to a shooting on the unit block South Bellevue Avenue. Officers located Malikah McLaughlin laying on the street unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death to be a homicide.
This was a cooperative investigation between the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Atlantic City Police Department.
