Four Dead, Eight Injured in North Jersey Crash

Englewood Cliffs, NJ –  Four people were killed and eight were injured during a rollover crash on the Palisades Parkway in Englewood Cliffs at around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning.  Police suspect the driver of the van, who was transporting warehouse workers possibly suffered from a medical emergency before the vehicle overturned and crashed.

The driver was identified as George Massey 44 from New York City. Passengers Jose Luis Romero Munoz, 59, Clara Estrella, 49, and Candida Frias, 59, all from New York were also killed in the crash.

Police said the van was traveling back to New York City from the Amscan  Warehouse in Chester New York,  a subsidiary of Party City.

Eight other passengers were injured after the van rolled over across the center median and trapping all of the passengers inside.
