New York Police Searching for Machete-Wielding Man on Staten Island’s South Shore

New York, NY -The New York City Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly wielding a machete overnight in the South Shore section of Staten Island.

According to police, the incident happened at around 1:40 a.m. inside a home at Excelsior and Woodvale Avenue.

A woman at the home reported to police that her husband had shoved her and pushed her to the ground and then fled the home with a machete.

The 57-year-old woman was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries according to the NYPD.

The New York City Police Department search the area for the husband we were unable to locate him. At this time no arrests have been made.
