Woman Critically Injured in East New York House Fire

New York, NY-A fire and East New York a Brooklyn woman to the hospital with critical injuries at around 7:20 a.m. on Saturday.  the New York City Fire Department responded to the fire and brought it under control by around 8 a.m.

According to police the woman whose identity was not released suffered severe burns and smoke inhalation.

The woman was treated at Nasa University Medical Center with critical and life-threatening injuries according to the New York City Fire Department. At this time the cause of the fire is under investigation and no information regarding what started the fire has been released by the fire department.

The fire was reported at 221 Bell Street in the area of Glenmore Avenue.
