Police investigating fatal shooting in Lewisdale

LEWSIDALE, MD – police in lewisdale are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Monday morning that . Left a 44 year-old man dead.

“Detectives with our Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting in Lewisdale early Monday morning. The victim is 44-year-old Roberto Santos-Melendez of Hyattsville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case,” the Prince George’s County Police Department said today.

On Monday, at approximately 12:55 am, patrol officers were called to the 7700 block of 23rd Avenue for a shooting. Once on scene, they discovered Santos-Melendez unresponsive in a convenience store parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.
