Serial NYC Shoplifter Caught in Oakland

OAKLAND, NJ – police in Oakland have reported the arrest of a serial shoplifter from New York City it was wanted as a suspect in multiple other shoplifting incidents throughout the region.

“While investigating a report of a possible shoplifter at the Walgreens who fled the area, Officer Andrew Vecchione located the suspect, a 29-year-old male from Brooklyn, elsewhere on the property and the offender was taken into custody without incident,” police said. “During processing, numerous criminal arrest warrants related to previous shoplifting incidents were also located for the offender and same was lodged into the Bergen County Jail.”

The suspect’s name has not been announced by the police department.
