Paterson firefighters injured as two fire engines Collide en route to fire at furniture store

Paterson, NJ- The Paterson Police Department today reported that several firefighters were injured in a crash involving two fire engines on their way to a fire at a furniture store on Main Street.

The answer happened at the corner of Broadway and straight Street at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. One of the fire engines struck a tree and the other struck a building, according to eyewitnesses.

At this time it is believed that up to eight victims were sent to the hospital as a result of this crash.

Fire companies from multiple surrounding communities reported to the crash scene and the fire at the Targets Closeouts home furnishing store. That fire was brought under control at around 7 pm.
