Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company Trains for Tree Down Extrication

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Last night Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1, Waretown Volunteer Fire Company, and Stafford Township Emergency Medical Services held a joint training simulating a tree vs. car scenario. Members utilized Paratech struts training on how to stabilize the tree, then lift & capture it to create sufficient space to extricate. Once the tree was lifted and the extrication was completed the simulated patients were removed and turned over to EMS.

We would also like to thanks Stafford Township Public Works for the use of the yard and the assistance with set up as well as Toms River Tree Service, LLC for the donation of of the tree.
