Woman Wanted for Questioning in Newark Shooting

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating Aaliyah Lundy, 21, of Newark, who is wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Friday, July 15, 2022.

At approximately 6:53 p.m., Police responded to the intersection of Avon Avenue and Hillside Avenue following a ShotSpotter activation. Responding officers located a woman who had been shot. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. She is reportedly in stable condition.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking to question Lundy as part of this investigation. She is described as 5’1” tall and 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
