Woman Murdered In Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A woman was found murdered Sunday afternoon in the northwest section of Washington, D.C. A welfare check brought police to a residence on the 5100 Block of 2nd Street at 12:11 pm. to check on the woman’s well-being.

When they arrived, police found an adult woman suffering from apparent trauma. The woman was pronounced on the scene, and the autopsy concluded that she died of “sharp force injuries”.

Her death was ruled a homicide by investigators. The D.C. Metro Police Department did not release any further information.
