Man shot in head during Philadelphia Road Rage incident

Philadelphia, PA- A road rage incident in Philadelphia nearly turned deadly after a man was shot in the head by a driver with who he had an earlier altercation. Philadelphia Police Department reported the incident in the Wissahickon section of Philadelphia Saturday night at around 9:30 p.m.

According to police, the road rage incident began at the intersection of Manayunk and Ridge when the van driver got out of his vehicle and started banging on the other driver’s car window.

Police say Matthew Lorusso followed the van and approached the driver a short time later, shooting him in the head.

Lorusso’s wife and seven-year-old child were in the car at the time of the shooting. He was arrested and charged by responding police. The van driver was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but is in stable condition.

Police did not identify the victim of the road rage shooting.
