Two women shot in South Philadelphia shooting

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating after two women were reportedly shot in the 1600 block of South Taney Avenue at around 5:15 p.m. Saturday evening. According to police, an 18-year-old woman was shot twice in the foot, and a 21-year-old woman was shot once in the leg.

Both victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where they are recovering in stable condition.

Police did not release any further information regarding the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time. This is a breaking news story and will be updated as soon as local officials provide more details.
